Moscow: The Azerbaijani people's 44-day Patriotic War has ushered in new realities and established a fresh security framework in the region, as announced by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Bayramov emphasized that this security framework is rooted in the supremacy of international law. He highlighted the recent historic developments in the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which include the initialing of a draft peace agreement. These developments, Bayramov noted, present a unique opportunity to secure lasting peace, security, and prosperity in the region.

Bayramov also informed that during discussions, he updated his Russian counterpart on the ongoing reconstruction and restoration efforts in the liberated territories. He elaborated on the return process of former internally displaced persons to their homeland and the current status of the normalization process between the two nations. The minister confidently stated that there is now de facto peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
