Deputy Minister Highlights Mother Tongue Education in Western Azerbaijan

Baku: Education was conducted in the mother tongue at 300 schools in Western Azerbaijan. “We must prepare our youth for the future. In this regard, the role of teachers is essential. Teachers must have a strong command of their native language,” said Deputy Minister of Science and Education Firudin Gurbanov during his speech at the forum titled ‘Ownership of Heritage: The Role of Teachers in Promoting the Concept of Return.’

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Deputy Minister noted that 300 schools with Azerbaijani-language instruction were operating in Western Azerbaijan. This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure that the youth are well-prepared for future challenges while maintaining a strong connection to their cultural and linguistic heritage.
