Beijing: Economic and trade cooperation between Azerbaijan and China is experiencing promising growth, according to Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev. In an interview with China’s People’s Daily newspaper, reported by APA, Mustafayev highlighted China’s position as Azerbaijan’s fourth-largest trading partner and primary source of imports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister revealed that from January to September this year, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and China reached 3.4 billion US dollars. This figure represents a 28% increase compared to the previous year, underscoring the deepening economic and trade cooperation between the two nations.

During his speech at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), Mustafayev emphasized the importance of the platform in helping Azerbaijani companies understand Chinese consumer preferences and market trends. This understanding aids Azerbaijani businesses in better adapting to the Chinese market. Additionally, the expo offers an opportunity for familiarization with China’s legislation, customs policy, and logistics system, which is essential for laying a robust foundation for future practical cooperation.
