Antalya: An event area covering a total of 1.5 million square meters has been prepared in Antalya, Trkiye, for COP31, Ahmet Sami Kulaklioglu, Head of the Support Services Department at Trkiye's Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, said during a "COP31 Logistics Briefing" held as part of Baku Climate Action Week 2026, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Blue Zone and Green Zone at the COP31 venue will be located within a single site. The COP31 site itself spans a total area of 1.1 million square meters, with approximately 527,000 square meters allocated to the Blue Zone and 582,000 square meters to the Green Zone. Together with landscaping of the surrounding areas and parking facilities, the total area reaches 1.5 million square meters.
The ministry official also noted that a separate VIP entrance will be provided for the Leaders' Summit to be held on November 11-12 as part of COP31. Only leaders and their three-member delegations will be able to use the VIP entrance. From the entrance, they will proceed to the reception point and then to the VIP lounge.
Antalya has been highlighted as having extensive capacity to accommodate COP31 participants, underscoring its readiness for the significant international event.
