Mine Explosion in Khojaly District Injures ANAMA Employee

Baku: A mine explosion in the Dashkend village of Khojaly district resulted in injuries to an employee of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), who has been evacuated to the Barda City Diagnostic Center, APA's Karabakh bureau reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the injured individual, identified as Anar Iftikhar Hasanov, born in 1990, was performing his official duties when an anti-personnel mine exploded. He initially received first aid at Khankendi City Hospital before being transferred to Barda for further treatment. Hasanov is expected to undergo surgery and his condition is currently satisfactory.

The incident occurred on September 10, 2026, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the explosion. Hasanov sustained an injury to his left leg but is now in stable condition after being admitted to the district hospital.
