Ankara: Development of sustainable and resilient cities has been identified as a primary focus for the upcoming COP31, as stated by Murat Kurum, Turkey's Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and President of COP31. The conference is expected to attract over 100,000 participants from 196 countries, Kurum told AZERTAC.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Kurum emphasized the importance of sustainable urban development as a key theme for the event. He mentioned the intention to draw from Azerbaijan's expertise in this area and implement decisions made in Baku within the framework of COP31. Kurum highlighted the goal of addressing these issues from a comprehensive perspective on behalf of the participating countries during the conference.
