Baku: Director General of the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency, Khawaja Sikandar Zeeshan, expressed gratitude to the Government of Azerbaijan for hosting the World Urban Forum (WUF13). He emphasized the significance of the forum as a global platform for discussing urbanization challenges, including climate change.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Zeeshan highlighted the implementation of one of the world's largest low-income, interest-free housing programs in Punjab, Pakistan. He stated that the delegation's primary objective in attending the forum was to showcase Pakistan's accomplishments in the housing sector, with a particular focus on the achievements of Punjab province.
Zeeshan admired Azerbaijan's architecture and noted the shared cultural and historical values between the two regions. He mentioned ongoing discussions with diplomatic representatives, aiming to foster collaboration in fields such as architecture, urban planning, and development. The forum serves as a platform to explore potential partnerships and cooperation opportunities between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
