Nearly 24,000 Passengers Transported During World Urban Forum in Azerbaijan

Baku: As part of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), hosted by Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA) has been providing transportation services using Neoplan-type electric buses for guests and participants. These services have ensured comfortable, uninterrupted, and safe transportation from Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, a comprehensive network has been established with a total of 9 hubs, 2 terminals, and more than 67 intermediate stops operating within WUF13. Since transportation services began on May 12, a total of 2,909 trips have been conducted by buses between the airport, the various hubs, and the event venue. This effort has successfully transported 23,671 passengers.

A total of 180 buses have been employed to facilitate the transportation needs of the event, demonstrating significant logistical planning and execution to accommodate the influx of attendees for the forum.
