Baku: The Global Baku Forum plays a significant role in discussing the potential reforms of the multilateral system, as stated by Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, during an interview with AZERTAC.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Valovaya emphasized the importance of the forum in times of numerous challenges and interconnected crises, highlighting its role as a vital platform when the multilateral system is under strain. The forum brings together many experienced politicians in international affairs to enhance international collaboration and address global challenges faced by humanity.

Valovaya also noted the significance of the upcoming WUF13 event in Baku, describing it as one of the most important gatherings within the UN system. She mentioned that the World Urban Forum (WUF) extends beyond government participation, serving as a modern multilateral cooperation platform that includes representatives from non-governmental organizations, civil society, and the youth.
