Director: Leading the First School in Liberated Aghdam Is Both a Responsibility and a Source of Pride

Aghdam: The educational process continues at Aghdam City Secondary School No. 1, APA's Karabakh bureau reports. School principal Gunel Valiyeva expressed that being the head of the first functioning school in the liberated city of Aghdam is both a responsibility and a source of pride.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, all necessary conditions have been created at the school to establish a modern educational environment. The educational institution boasts 43 classrooms, 16 administrative rooms, and a STEAM center consisting of seven rooms. It also features physics, chemistry, and biology laboratories equipped with modern facilities, as well as computer science and pre-conscription training rooms. Additionally, the school's library and museum are available to students.

The principal further elaborated that the school includes a 352-seat cafeteria, a 468-seat assembly hall, two indoor sports halls, and outdoor football and basketball fields. Primary school teacher Nurangiz Mammadova, who returned to her native Aghdam with her students, noted the smooth adaptation of students from different parts of the country and highlighted their exceptional enthusiasm at the new school.

In the framework of the Great Return State Program, seven-year-old Aysel Huseynli relocated to Aghdam with her family. She expressed her happiness about studying at the new school, sharing her aspiration to become a doctor in the future. It is noteworthy that President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony of the 960-student-capacity Aghdam City Secondary School No. 1 building on July 18. The school was constructed under the First State Program on the Great Return to the liberated territories.
