Distinguished Visitors Day Highlights ‘Unity-2025’ Joint Exercise in Samarkand

Samarkand: Distinguished Visitors Day of the ‘Unity-2025’ joint regional exercise, organized in the Samarkand province with participation from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, took place on October 21, as reported by the Ministry of Defense to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event saw attendance from high-ranking officials including the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov, alongside other high-level guests from the participating nations.

The visitors were briefed on the objectives and phases of the regional exercise, followed by practical demonstrations of various episodes at the training range. The guests observed the operations at the joint command post and reviewed an exhibition of weapons and military equipment produced by the Defense Industry Agencies under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The closing ceremony of the ‘Unity-2025’ joint regional exercise was attended by the Defense Ministers of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, along with other dignitaries. Colonel General Z. Hasanov addressed the gathering, expressing appreciation to his Uzbek counterpart for the organization of the exercise, and extended congratulations to the participants, wishing them success in their future military endeavors.

The ‘Unity-2025’ joint regional exercise was noted for the professionalism exhibited by servicemen from the participating countries. Awards were presented to those who distinguished themselves during the exercise.
