Sumgait: A fire broke out in a dormitory building located in the 41st block of Sumgait, prompting the evacuation of 11 residents. The incident was reported to the 112 hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which responded swiftly to the emergency.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Fire Protection Department under the State Fire Protection Service acted quickly to control the situation. The fire originated in the electric board situated in the general corridor on the third floor of the five-story dormitory. Thanks to the firefighters’ prompt intervention, the fire was contained and prevented from spreading to the residential flats.
Security measures led to the safe evacuation of 11 residents, including five children. The fire resulted in the burning of six speedometers, six safety switches, and five electric cables. However, the dormitory building and the individual flats were successfully protected from further damage.
