Education Minister Emin Amrullayev Engages in Strategic OTS Education Ministers Meeting

Baku: Education Minister Emin Amrullayev participated in the 9th Meeting of the Ministers of Education of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Turkistan, Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan and chaired by Minister Sayasat Nurbek.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the assembly focused on advancing multilateral cooperation in education under the frameworks of 'Turkic World Vision - 2040' and 'OTS Strategy 2022-2026'. Discussions involved the execution of decisions from OTS summits and education ministers' meetings, aiming to enhance educational integration and academic mobility within the Turkic world.

Participants exchanged views on projects and initiatives to fortify educational integration and sustain activities of the Union of Turkic Universities and they also explored establishing the Turkic World Higher Education Area and discussed potential joint cooperation in general education, including student and teacher exchange programs.

Minister Emin Amrullayev commended the ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation in science and education within the OTS framework. He emphasized that initiatives in general and higher education would boost academic mobility among OTS member and observer states, strengthen inter-university connections, and deepen educational integration across the Turkic world. Amrullayev also introduced Azerbaijan's proposal for systematic institutional cooperation in higher education within the Turkic world.

The meeting concluded with the signing of the communiqu© of the 9th meeting and the approval of several strategic documents and initiatives.
