Education Ministry receives 600 copies of Common Sense Economics book

Representatives of the University of Central Asia handed over to the Ministry of Education and Science 600 copies of the book «Zhuyoluu Ekonomika» (Common Sense Economics). Press service of the ministry reported.

The book was translated from English and contains the knowledge necessary to understand the economic processes in the state. «The book gives schoolchildren an opportunity to gain knowledge on financial literacy,» the ministry said.

At the first stage, the book in Kyrgyz and Russian languages will be handed over to the libraries of schools in Naryn, Issyk-Kul and Chui regions.

The Ministry of Education added that within the framework of the project on economic literacy, the University of Central Asia will hold an international Olympiad in economics. Students of grades 9-11 can participate in it.
