Egyptian portal writes about vandalism and restoration work carried out by Armenians in Agdam against historical and cultural heritage

Egypt’s influential Nile-1 portal has published an article about the destruction, acts of vandalism and crimes committed by Armenians against religious, historical and cultural heritage in the occupied and liberated lands of Azerbaijan for 30 years.

According to AZERTAC , in the article, the author brought to the readers’ attention the destruction he saw during his recent visit to Agdam, which was liberated from occupation, and the consequences of Armenian vandalism.

He noted that during the 30-year occupation, the Armenian occupiers tried to erase all religious, historical and cultural monuments in Aghdam, destroying and looting most of them, describing some of them as monuments of Persian culture, especially keeping animals in mosques and other holy places. they were insulted.

Giving detailed information about the Aghdam Juma Mosque, the author said that the monument was insulted by Armenians, and cows and pigs were kept there.

The author, who also visited the ruins of the Aghdam Bread Museum, said he was horrified by the sight. He wrote that he had seen a picture of the museum before the occupation and had received detailed information about it. He noted that comparing the scene with the picture, he understood the scale of Armenian vandalism.

The article also touched upon the extensive construction work in Agdam after the liberation, touched upon President Ilham Aliyev’s visits to Agdam, and noted that large-scale reconstruction work was launched in the region in accordance with the city’s master plan.
