Baku: Today, eight students from Baku secondary school No. 14 experienced sudden illness for reasons initially unknown. The students exhibited symptoms of general discomfort and nausea, as confirmed by secondary school No. 14 to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the school administration promptly sought emergency medical assistance, leading to the students being transported to a nearby health facility. “The school administration also informed other relevant state agencies and the students’ parents. Initial investigations revealed that one of the students bought chewing gum from a market near the school while coming to class and gave it to his classmates. It is believed that the children began to feel unwell because of the chewing gum.”

State agencies have commenced investigations into the incident to determine the exact cause of the students’ sudden illness.

The affected students underwent medical examinations and necessary procedures, with reports indicating that their condition is stable and satisfactory.
