Baku: Electronic cigarettes and their components will soon be included in the list of items prohibited from civil circulation, as reported by APA. This decision was outlined in the proposed amendments to the Law "On the List of Items Prohibited from Civil Circulation (Withdrawn from Civil Circulation)," during a videoconference meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Agrarian Policy.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, under Law No. 338-VIIQD dated December 30, 2025, significant restrictions were already placed on the import, export, production, storage, wholesale and retail sale, and use of electronic cigarettes and their components. These prohibitions align with the amendments to the Tax Code and the laws "On Tobacco and Tobacco Products," "On Advertising," and "On Restriction of the Use of Tobacco Products."
The harmonizing amendment to the Law "On the List of Items Prohibited from Civil Circulation (Withdrawn from Civil Circulation)" ensures that electronic cigarettes and their components are fully withdrawn from civil circulation, reinforcing the legislative framework governing tobacco products and their alternatives.
