Employees of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of Azerbaijan, visiting the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation, met with local authorities and members of our diaspora in Makhachkala.

The meeting with Dagestan’s First Deputy Minister for National Policy and Religious Affairs Harun Davudov was attended by employees of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora Aydin Mahmudov and Kamal Muvaffagi, chairman of the National-Cultural Autonomy of Makhachkala Azerbaijanis Rakif Azizov and head of the Ogonyok camp Mahammadsalam Khalilov.

The meeting noted that the historical friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Dagestan are an important factor in the interstate relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, which have reached the level of strategic partnership. , The contributions of the Azerbaijani Diaspora to the socio-political and humanitarian life of the republic were discussed in detail.

Afterwards, a meeting with representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora was held at the Friendship House in Makhachkala. Aliyeva received letters of appreciation from the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora. They were awarded for conveying the truth about Azerbaijan to the world community, support for our compatriots during the pandemic, strengthening and developing friendly relations between our peoples.
