Baku: Energy and defense industries are forming the cornerstone of economic cooperation between Baku and Belgrade, as highlighted in a recent opinion from Serbia.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Serbian international security expert Vuk Vuksanovic discussed the topic on the "Azerbaijan and the World" broadcast on the AZERTAC website. He emphasized that Azerbaijan's involvement in energy supply diversification projects, which are supported by the European Union, could play a role in reducing Serbia's and other Balkan countries' reliance on traditional energy sources.

Vuksanovic further explored the potential for expanding collaboration in the defense industry, including the establishment of joint ventures. He noted that such endeavors could lend a long-term and pragmatic dimension to bilateral cooperation.

The expert also pointed out that this cooperation could pave the way for technology exchanges, attract investments, and facilitate joint program implementations, thus contributing to the sustainable development of both Azerbaijan and Serbia.
