Baku: On the eve of the 12th Ministerial Meeting of the SGC Advisory Council and the 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Green Energy Advisory Council, Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov held meetings with Moldova's Minister of Energy Dorin Junghietu and Managing Director of TAP AG Luca Schieppati.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Shahbazov's post on his official X account detailed discussions with Minister Dorin Junghietu that focused on exploring new cooperation opportunities in natural gas and renewable energy. These talks aim to strengthen energy ties and explore joint ventures in the renewable energy sector.

In a separate meeting with Luca Schieppati, the Managing Director of TAP AG, discussions revolved around the next phase of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) expansion. The first stage of this expansion was completed earlier this year, marking a significant milestone in the pipeline's development. They also discussed the current state of the European natural gas market, which is a critical component of Europe's energy supply chain.

Minister Shahbazov highlighted that "to date, more than 56 bcm of natural gas have been transported to Europe via TAP," underscoring the pipeline's pivotal role in delivering natural gas to European countries and enhancing energy security in the region.
