Energy System Work to Be Strengthened in Azerbaijan for COP29 Event.


Baku: Azerenerji OJSC has announced a switch to an enhanced work mode to ensure a continuous and stable electricity supply across Azerbaijan, with a special focus on Baku, in preparation for the upcoming COP29 event, as reported by OJSC to APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, all necessary preventive measures have been implemented to secure both the physical and cyber integrity of energy facilities. Efforts have been made to prevent potential accidents related to operation and maintenance, in collaboration with relevant state institutions. As part of these preparations, a comprehensive inspection was conducted on 37 junction substations, 129 transmission lines, and 6 power stations located in Baku and its surrounding areas. Additionally, resources have been allocated to maintain extra reserve power during the production process.
