The European Union, the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (ACOA), and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan are planning to launch new joint initiatives in cyber diplomacy and digital literacy. Elsa Neeme, Senior Cybersecurity Expert at the Estonian e-Governance Academy (eGA), told AZERTAC in an interview, outlining prospects for future cooperation.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, a key area of cooperation will be strengthening cyber diplomacy capacity in Azerbaijan, where the field is already well developed. The senior expert highlighted plans to support capacity-building initiatives in this area, describing it as an important sphere of cooperation.
Another focus includes developing awareness mechanisms for users, with plans to create simple frameworks to help people better understand online safety, Neeme noted. She further underlined that special attention will be given to the protection of critical infrastructure due to its strategic importance, describing the initiative as a large-scale, long-term program.
