EU Defense Ministers Maintain Restrictions on Ukraine’s Use of Weapons in Russia

BRUSSELS — The European Union's defense ministers have concluded their informal meeting without reaching a consensus on lifting restrictions regarding the use of weapons supplied to Ukraine for operations within Russian territory, High Representative Josep Borrell disclosed at a press conference.

According to Azeri-Press Agency, the EU member states have opted to treat the issue as a bilateral matter, leaving decisions to the individual countries that provide the arms. "A strategic discussion was held at the EU level, but the Ministers decided that the matter should remain under the authority of national bodies," he stated, emphasizing the complexity and sensitivity of the topic.
