European Teams Compete Fiercely in Baku’s TeamGym Championship


Baku: The second day of the 15th European TeamGym Championships unfolded in Baku, with teams from across the continent vying for top spots in the finals at the National Gymnastics Arena.

According to Trend News Agency, the competition was intense with eight men’s teams pushing hard to outperform each other. Denmark led the charge with a formidable score of 64,000 points, followed closely by Sweden with 59,800 points. Norway also showed strong form, scoring approximately 59,300 points. Not far behind, the United Kingdom earned a respectable 50,900 points. Portugal and Italy were neck and neck at 50,550 and 50,500 points respectively, securing their places in the final showdown.

The women’s teams also showcased their skills earlier in the day. Iceland topped the scoreboard with 53.250 points while Denmark wasn’t far behind, scoring 51.200 points. Norway, Great Britain, and Finland also made it to the finals with scores of 48.750, 48.550, and 47.900 respectively.

In the mixed team category, Denmark achieved a
notable score of 58.000 points. Great Britain and Sweden were in close competition with scores of 52.500 and 52.100 points, respectively. Iceland, Norway, and Italy also performed well, earning their spots in the finals with scores of 51.100, 49.300, and 48.325.
