Baku: The EU-funded Covenant of Mayors - Eastern Partnership (CoM East) organized an awareness-raising event in Azerbaijan on the opportunities available to municipalities considering joining one of the largest local climate and energy initiatives, APA reports. Around 100 representatives of municipalities as well as national institutions came together at the event held in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the main purpose of the meeting was to clearly explain to potential partners wishing to join what membership in the Covenant of Mayors means in practice.
