At the same time, direct and indirect costs (471.5 million manats) of “Azersu” OJSC exceeded this index by 62%. During the year, 195.2 million manats were received from the sale of water, 76.1 million manats were received from sewage services, which is respectively 7% and 7.9% more than in the previous year. According to the company’s calculations, the cost of selling water and services amounted to 134.2 million manats in 2022 (+4.2%). This is stated in the company’s consolidated financial report. Depreciation of the company’s fixed assets in 2022 amounted to 147.2 million manats. In 2021, 549.2 million manats were recorded in the expenditure part of the financial report on this item. “Azersu”s administrative expenses (43.1 million manats) grew by 46.6%. The costs of selling and distributing water amounted to 159.3 million manats, which exceeded the volume of expenses under this item by 8.6%. “Azersu”s net loss from economic activity in 2022 amounted to 180 million manats. At that, the unpaid losses of the company at the beginning of this year exceed 8 billion manats. The report does not mention the work done to reduce the cost and other expenses. At the same time, state investments in the water sector in 2022 exceeded 355 million manats, which is up by 16.4% from the previous year. The audit of the financial statements of “Azersu” OJSC for 2022 was conducted and a positive conclusion on compliance with international accounting standards was provided on July 3 by the local company “SR Audit Solutions” (TIN: 1803439741). For these services, the company received 218.300 manats ($128.400).
