Baku: “Neither of the brothers was struck with a sharp object or a firearm; they were hit with blunt instruments,” stated Adalat Hasanov, Director General of the Forensic Medical Examination and Anatomical Pathology Union under the Ministry of Health. He was announcing the results of the re-examination conducted in Azerbaijan on the bodies of the Azerbaijani brothers killed in Yekaterinburg.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, numerous traumas were identified during both the external and internal examinations of the bodies. Adalat Hasanov, head of the Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Association, mentioned that the bodies were received by their department around 10-11 PM, with the examination concluding at midnight.

The examination revealed significant injuries on Huseyn Mehdi Safarov, including a displaced fracture of the bones and deformation of the chest. There was also a large hematoma from the temple to the eye, along with various bruises and abrasions across multiple body regions.

Hasanov explained the challenges of conducting a second examination on a previously assessed body, noting intracranial hemorrhages and multiple displaced rib fractures among the findings. The internal examination revealed lung damage and bilateral hemopneumothorax, alongside peritoneal rupture and blood covering.

The cause of death for Huseyn Mehdi Safarov was determined to be post-traumatic and post-hemorrhagic shock. Medical death certificates from the Sverdlovsk region indicated trauma as the cause of death.

Furthermore, Hasanov reported that an examination by Kseniya Valeryeva concluded that the second brother died from blunt trauma, with acute heart failure cited as the cause of death.
