Baku: An explosion in a private house on Yusif Gasimov Street, Sabunchu district, Baku, has resulted in severe burns to four individuals, including two children, according to APA reports. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan was alerted via its “112” hotline and promptly dispatched the State Fire Protection Service to the scene.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the explosion occurred in a single-story, three-room private house with a total area of 80 square meters. Although a fire did not ensue, the blast wave caused significant damage to the property, injuring five people, including two children. Emergency Ministry personnel implemented safety measures, and an investigation into the incident is underway by relevant authorities.
In response to APA’s inquiry, TABIB reported that the Republic Emergency and Urgent Medical Assistance Center registered the incident and dispatched ambulance teams to the location. Four individuals, three women and one man, were hospitalized at the Burn Center under the N?rimanov Medical Center. A 2017-born male child suffered third- and fourth-degree burns over 80% of his body and is in critically severe condition. A 2018-born female child and two women, born in 1960 and 1990, sustained second- and third-degree burns on various parts of their bodies. All are in the Intensive Care Unit, with their treatment ongoing.
