Baku: The Ministry of Emergency Situations’ 112 hotline received a report about a fire in an apartment on Fikret Amirov Street in the city of Ganja, prompting firefighting teams from the Ganja City Fire Protection Department to swiftly respond to the scene.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, responders assessed that the fire originated in a one-room, 36 m² apartment located on the ground floor of a five-story residential building. The firefighters’ prompt action ensured that the blaze was contained and did not spread to neighboring apartments.
One individual suffering from burn injuries was rescued and transferred to emergency medical personnel, while another person was found deceased. The Ministry of Emergency Situations teams took necessary safety precautions on-site. Relevant authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
