Aghdam: Reserve officer Sayyaf Ahmadov, also known as ‘Gizir Khani,’ who was killed in a landmine explosion in Aghdam district yesterday, has been laid to rest in a cemetery near Uchoghlan village in Aghdam.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a farewell ceremony was held for Ahmadov at his home in the Baharly settlement, which was established for internally displaced persons in Aghdam. The community gathered to pay their respects to the reserve officer, honoring his memory and service.
The tragic incident of Ahmadov’s death due to the landmine explosion has brought a somber mood to the region, as residents and officials alike mourn the loss of an individual who served his country. Ahmadov’s burial in the Uchoghlan village cemetery marks the final resting place for the officer, remembered by many as ‘Gizir Khani.’
