Baku: A tragic incident unfolded in Baku as a father and his 13-year-old son succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning in their apartment, while another child from the family was hospitalized. The incident occurred on June 7 on 20 Yanvar Street in the Nasimi district, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the victims have been identified as Abulfaz Abiyev, born in 1974, and his son Kamran Abiyev, born in 2013. Both were found deceased due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Meanwhile, the family's other child, Nurlan Abiyev, born in 2005, was rushed to the hospital exhibiting symptoms of poisoning, with his condition described as serious.

The Nasimi District Prosecutor's Office is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Kamran Abiyev was a seventh-grade student at Secondary School No. 247 in the Nasimi district, which publicly shared the sad news of his passing on its social media platform.
