Baku:Garabagh: Filipino traveler Jan Vincent Francisco expressed his high expectations for the expedition to Garabagh and East Zangezur, where he aims to explore the region's diverse cultures, natural resources, and major tourist attractions over the course of three days.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this visit marks Francisco's first expedition to the region as a representative of the Philippine Global Explorers (PGE) organization. He shared that he recently visited Gobustan, known for its rich rock paintings, and learned about plans to enhance the tourism potential of the Azykh Cave.
The expedition is led by American traveler Charles Veley, founder of the Most Travelled People (MTP) club, and includes an international group of 40 travelers from 13 countries. Their itinerary features visits to Albanian churches, which highlight Azerbaijan's ancient history and heritage.
This expedition represents the 17th group visit by major international travelers' clubs to Garabagh and East Zangezur since 2021, providing participants with a firsthand view of the ongoing reconstruction and restoration efforts in these liberated territories.
