Finance Ministry: Housing Finance Fund Assets in Azerbaijan Exceed $2 Billion

Baku: Housing finance fund assets in Azerbaijan have exceeded 2 billion US dollars, First Deputy Finance Minister of Azerbaijan, Anar Karimov, announced during the session titled 'A New Deal for Housing Finance' at WUF13.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Anar Karimov highlighted that Azerbaijan's housing finance model effectively combines state support with capital market financing. The assets managed by the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan have now surpassed the 2 billion US dollar mark. The model provides preferential mortgage loans for vulnerable groups and facilitates bond issuances within the domestic capital market.

The First Deputy Finance Minister specified that the preferential housing programs are designed for refugees, internally displaced persons, military personnel, teachers, and families of martyrs. Digitalization in the housing sector is a primary focus, with application, verification, and approval processes now fully digitized.

Karimov also mentioned that more than 10 billion US dollars have been allocated since 2020 for reconstruction and resettlement as part of the 'Great Return' program in Azerbaijan's liberated territories.
