Tirana: Fiona McCluney, the UN Resident Coordinator in Albania, addressed the pressing issue of global housing problems during a panel session at the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13). Speaking at a session titled 'Housing for Freedom Territorial Pact for the 21st Century Towards a UN Resolution on the Metropolitan Right to Housing,' McCluney emphasized that housing challenges extend beyond first-world countries, impacting regions affected by forced displacement and conflict.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, McCluney highlighted that housing issues are shared across various parts of the world, making them a global concern. She noted that the effects of climate change are significantly impacting housing situations worldwide, further complicating the efforts to address these challenges.
