First Baby in 32 Years Born in Azerbaijan’s Aghdara District

Baku: The first baby in 32 years has been born in the Aghdara district, marking a significant event in the region. An emergency medical team was called to assist a 36-week pregnant woman experiencing premature labor.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the medical team encountered a complication during the birth, as the umbilical cord was wrapped around the fetus’s neck. The team managed to safely free the umbilical cord and performed neonatal resuscitation measures, including heart massage and respiratory restoration. The birth process was carefully monitored by the medical team inside the ambulance.

Following the successful birth, both the mother and her newborn daughter were transported to a medical facility for further care. The mother is receiving ongoing treatment, and her condition is stable. The baby girl, weighing 2.7 kg and measuring 49 cm, is also under medical supervision, with her condition reported as satisfactory.
