Baku: Fitch Ratings has reviewed ABB Bank's ratings and upgraded the Bank's Long-Term Issuer Default Rating from BB to BB+. At the same time, ABB Bank's Viability Rating was upgraded from bb to bb+. The rating outlook is Stable.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, these are the highest ratings assigned to ABB Bank by Fitch in the past 15 years. Overall, ABB Bank currently holds the highest international ratings in the country's financial sector. The upgrade reflects ABB Bank's continued strong financial profile and improved risk profile. Fitch experts have noted the Bank's strong market position, a resilient balance-sheet structure, and robust financial metrics. In the medium term, the Bank's loan portfolio is expected to continue growing, while asset quality and profitability are projected to remain strong.
