Flights from Baku to Fuzuli to No Longer Require Special Permission for Azerbaijani Citizens

Baku: Starting from May 1, 2025, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) will implement changes to the ticket purchase procedures for the Baku-Fuzuli-Baku route, as announced by the Press Service of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC to APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Azerbaijani citizens will be able to purchase tickets for this route directly through AZAL’s official website or mobile application without needing any special permit. This new process applies to both one-way and round-trip tickets, and the system will automatically generate the necessary travel permits, removing the requirement to submit an additional request via the Yolumuz Qarabaga portal.

The changes aim to simplify the procedures for Azerbaijani citizens and make the travel process more convenient. However, foreign nationals must still obtain prior permission from relevant state authorities to travel to Fuzuli. Currently, flights on the Baku-Fuzuli-Baku route are operated twice a week, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays.
