Baku: We have been informed that work is underway on the road and railway project of the Zangezur corridor passing through Armenia, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister noted that one of the most important outcomes of last year's Washington Summit was the agreement on the section of the Zangezur corridor passing through Armenia. "The United States also supports this. Negotiations in this direction are being held between the United States and Armenia," Bayramov stated.
He further mentioned that the entry and exit points of the Trans-Regional Infrastructure and Partnership Project (TRIPP) are located on the territory of Azerbaijan. Consequently, Azerbaijan is kept informed by its partners from the United States. "The assurances given to us are that the process is underway, and it is currently at the stage of preparing the documents," he added, emphasizing the collaborative efforts and ongoing discussions for the project.
