Baku: Former President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Academician Akif Alizadeh, has been dismissed from the post of Director of the Institute of Geology.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the academician's resignation letter, which was submitted in February, was approved today. At the same time, Elchin Valiyev, who was appointed Deputy Director today, will temporarily perform the duties of Director of the Institute of Geology. The State Agency for Science and Higher Education confirmed the information to APA.
