Former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth: The Level of Plastic Waste Pollution is Increasing Exponentially

Baku: Former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Patricia Scotland, has emphasized the rapid and exponential increase in plastic waste pollution. In her address to AZERTAC, she highlighted the severity of plastic pollution as a pressing global issue, stating it as one of the most dangerous forms of pollution currently impacting the world.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Patricia Scotland noted the gathering at the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Azerbaijan, where global leaders and experts convened to discuss viable solutions to tackle this critical environmental challenge. The forum served as a platform for stakeholders to deliberate on strategies and collaborations necessary to mitigate the rising levels of plastic waste pollution.
