Tashkent: The fraternal ties and strong bonds of friendship that unite Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, coupled with regular and productive high-level dialogues, serve the common progress of the brotherly peoples, stated President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Trend News Agency, President Mirziyoyev emphasized the complete elevation of interstate relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan to a new historic stage of alliance in recent years. He highlighted this development as a practical expression of firm political will and joint consistent efforts.

President Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that the strategic partnership between the two nations, based on principles of mutual trust and respect, will continue to develop rapidly across priority areas. These areas include politics, economy, trade, transport, logistics, energy, industry, agriculture, tourism, and culture.

The letter also mentioned a series of important upcoming meetings this year in both Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. These meetings are expected to provide favorable opportunities to discuss the prospects of bilateral relations and facilitate an in-depth exchange of views on pressing issues of regional partnership.
