Baku:Revenue from the upcoming friendly match between 'Turan Tovuz' PFC and Turkey's 'Fenerbah§e' club, scheduled for October 3 at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium, will be donated to the Garabagh Revival Fund.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Garabagh Revival Fund and 'Turan Tovuz' PFC signed a Memorandum of Understanding on September 28 to formalize this initiative. The memorandum was signed by Rahman Hajiyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Garabagh Revival Fund, and Ehtiram Guliyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of 'Turan Tovuz' PFC.

The funds generated from the match will support projects focused on the reconstruction of liberated territories and the sustainable development of the region. Rahman Hajiyev expressed appreciation for the initiative, highlighting the role of sport in uniting communities for common causes, and thanked 'Turan Tovuz' for their contribution.

Ehtiram Guliyev emphasized the dual significance of the match as both a sporting event and a charitable endeavor, giving fans and the clubs an opportunity to contribute to the Garabagh revival.

The upcoming match marks a reunion for the two clubs, who last faced each other in 1994 during the UEFA Cup. The match on October 3 will begin at 800 p.m.
