Fuel Costs of Population in Azerbaijan Increased by Nearly 8% This Year

Baku: In January-September of this year, consumers in the retail trade network spent 2,785.1 million manats on gasoline and diesel fuel alone.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, citing the State Statistical Committee, this figure represents a 7.8% increase compared to the corresponding period of 2024.

Recall that last year, consumers in the retail trade network spent 3 billion 423.1 million manats on gasoline and diesel fuel, marking a 5.5% rise from the previous year. The refining of oil in Azerbaijan takes place at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, which was established in 1953 and satisfies the country’s entire demand for oil products. Currently, the refinery is undergoing reconstruction and modernization.
