Baku: Fuel costs for the population in Azerbaijan have increased by more than 7% in the first eleven months of this year. In the period from January to November, consumers spent 3,521.3 million manats on automobile gasoline and diesel fuel within the retail trade network.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this figure represents a 7.7% increase over the same period in 2024. In the previous year, consumers had expended 3,423.1 million manats on these fuels, marking a 5.5% rise compared to the year before.

The Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, established in 1953, is responsible for processing oil in Azerbaijan and fully meets the country’s demand for oil products. Presently, efforts are underway to reconstruct and modernize the refinery to further enhance its capabilities.
