Riga: Turkish football club Galatasaray settled for a 2-2 draw against Latvian team Rigas during Thursday’s UEFA Europa League match, despite an early lead.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, galatasaray started strong at Daugava Stadium in Riga, scoring the first goal with Dries Mertens in the 12th minute, followed by a second goal from Yunus Akgun in the 38th minute. However, Riga’s Janis Ikaunieks quickly narrowed the lead with a goal in the 40th minute, and teammate Lasha Odisharia equalized the score in the 55th minute. Despite several attempts, Galatasaray could not secure another goal, leaving the match tied at 2-2.
