Ankara:Galatasaray secured a 1-0 victory against Gençlerbirligi during an away match in the eighth round of the Turkish Premier League.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the decisive goal was scored by Turkish striker Deniz Gl in the 88th minute. Gl entered the match as a substitute in the 77th minute, taking over from Portuguese winger Rafael Leão, who had been on the field since the 61st minute.

Throughout the match, Galatasaray's Russian midfielder Alexei Batrakov played the entire game but did not score. This victory takes Galatasaray to 19 points, placing them at the top of the league standings. They are set to host Fenerbahçe in their next match on October 26.
