Zakopane:Gunel Badalova has been elected as Vice President of the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) during its Plenary Assembly held in Zakopane, Poland, on October 17. Badalova is also the Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the election of Badalova as ISMF Vice President enhances Azerbaijan's presence in international sports organizations. It presents new opportunities for the country to promote its efforts in developing winter sports on a global scale.
