Galaychilar village, Aghdam district

Galaychilar village of Aghdam district is located on the both banks of Gabarti River, in the foothills of the Karabakh Mountain range.

The village was occupied by Armenian armed forces on June 16, 1993. During the occupation, Armenian vandals destroyed the village and turned it into ruins.

After the glorious Victory of the Azerbaijan Army in the Second Karabakh War, Aghdam district was returned to Azerbaijan on November 20 under the trilateral Statement signed by the President of Azerbaijan, the President of Russia and the Prime Minister of Armenia on November 10, 2020.
