Georgia and Uzbekistan Elections Conclude Successfully, Says Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker.

BAKU: The elections in Georgia and Uzbekistan were successfully conducted, Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova announced during a plenary session of the parliament, as reported by Trend News Agency. Gafarova highlighted the successful completion of the recent parliamentary elections in both countries. According to Trend News Agency, parliamentary delegates monitored the elections in Georgia and Uzbekistan, concluding that the electoral processes were successful. Gafarova expressed commendation for the accomplishments of Georgia and Uzbekistan, noting that these elections are expected to contribute to the advancement of both nations. She emphasized that the successful elections would bolster collaboration with Azerbaijan in the pursuit of peace, stability, and sustainable development. In Georgia, the ruling Georgian Dream party won the parliamentary election held on October 26, securing over 54 percent of the vote, which equates to 1,118,796 votes. The Central Election Commission reported t hat results from 3,109 out of 3,111 polling stations have been processed, showing a turnout of 99.936 percent. The Coalition for Change, comprising Gvaramia, Melia, Girchi, and Droa, garnered 11.03 percent of the votes, while Unity - National Movement received 10.161 percent. The Strong Georgia party, which includes Lelo, for People, and for Liberty, obtained 8.814 percent, and the Gakharia for Georgia party secured 7.771 percent. Meanwhile, polling stations opened in Uzbekistan for elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local councils on October 27. Over 15 million people participated in the election, with preliminary results indicating that the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan received 34.75 percent of the votes.
