Tbilisi: Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze announced the extension of a natural gas purchase agreement with Azerbaijan for an additional 20 years during his appearance on the 'Imedi LIVE' program. The original agreement was nearing its end, but successful negotiations have secured the continuation of this vital energy partnership.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the extension is the result of productive discussions between Georgian and Azerbaijani officials. Prime Minister Kobakhidze expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan for their cooperation, highlighting the significance of this agreement for Georgia's energy security.

During debates on 'Imedi' television, Kobakhidze addressed all questions raised by the energy expert, emphasizing that the negotiations were thorough and resulted in a concrete agreement.
